Police say a 63-year-old woman was driving drunk when she crashed her car through the entrance of a liquor store and continued down the center aisle in East Haven.
Authorities say Sharon Brooks' vehicle crossed over the sidewalk, crashed through the entrance and went down the center aisle of Yankee Discount Liquor store on Friday afternoon, knocking down bottles of alcohol and terrifying those inside.
A worker at the liquor store suffered minor injuries. Brooks was not injured.
The woman was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving. Bail was set at $5,000.
