Study Shows That TSA Agents Are Pros At Sleeping And Stealing, Generally Being Dicks

Think all those stories about TSA agents harassing kids using wheelchairs or raiding suitcases are one-offs? Sorry, a government report says TSA employee misconduct has spiked more than 26 percent in the last three years. Sure, they’re making some great catches like retrieving drugs from hair weaves and confiscating guns before takeoff. But there have reportedly been about 9,600 cases of badly behaved agents over the three-year period, including snoozing on the job, failing to screen friends and family and stealing. Of those cases, 1,900 may have compromised security. “This may be just the tip of the iceberg,” says Rep. John Mica (R-Fla.), who ordered the study. “There's not even a way to properly report some of the offenses.” [Source]
