GIant Rat Eats Baby
A giant rat killed a one-year-old baby in Western Yemen after eating parts of his body, leaving the mother in nervous breakdown and the town in relentless hunt for the rodent, Yemeni press reported on Tuesday.
The baby was laying at a clay hut in al-Hadith district in Western Yemen when the rat attacked him and ate parts of his body.
When the mother returned to her baby, he was still alive but lost his life before he could reach the hospital, Yemeni press quoted local sources at the al-Hadith district in Western Yemen as saying.
The people are currently hunting for rat, setting traps at the entrances of their village, the Yemeni press said.

Middle School Coach Fired For Hooters Party Plan
![]() | |||
| I would have loved that coach. :) |
"The athletic director for the Corbett School District, Jean-Paul Soulagnet, sent a letter to parents Monday night telling them the end-of-season awards party at Hooters was no longer a Corbett Middle School event.
Soulagnet also fired coach Randy Burbach for refusing to choose a more appropriate location.
Burbach told KGW-TV he would not bow to pressure to move the party, because he always told his boys to stand up for what they believe in.
That account differs from Soulagnet's, who said that Burbach mostly objected to boosters speaking to others instead of complaining directly to him.
The restaurant bills itself as "delightfully tacky," and its waitresses wear skimpy outfits."

Police Brutally Beat Man, So Crowd Brutally Beats Police
The cop with the night stick deserved an even worse beating IMHO. Power to the people!
"The people WON'T stand for such wanton use of force and power, as these 4 cops quickly learn. After looking closely, you can see one cop motion to the other cop who is jabbing with a blackjack to tone it down, but it's too late, the crowd has seen, and the crowd will not sit idly by as witnesses to such behavior, and decide to dish it back to the cops."

Ax Throwing Champ Chases Off Burglar
A competitive tomahawk thrower from Hemet, California successfully
chased away a home intruder early on Saturday, November 2, after she
confronted the man with a hand ax. The sight of weapon sent the would-be
thief running from the premises.
Hemet police say Robyn Irvine called 911 around 8.20 a.m. to report she had been awoken by a man attempting to remove a watch from her wrist while she slept.
Irvine told police she let out a sharp scream on awakening to the sight of the intruder just inches from her face. The sound momentarily stunned the man, Irvine says, before she produced a hand ax from under her bed and gave chase.
Irvine told police she discovered another man also in the house and it appears the two had spent some time rifling through her belongings and helping themselves to the contents of her refrigerator.

Dozens Of The Worlds Deadliest Spiders Burst From Womans Banana, She May Have Ate Some Of Them
It's bite will also cause an erection that lasts for hours as you die a slow and agonizing death
"I thought it was mold," said Consi Taylor,
29, of London, referring to the white spots she found on her banana.
"[B]ut when I had a closer look I saw some funny looking spots...and was
horrified to see they were spiders. They were hatching out on the
table, scurrying around on my carpet."
Before realizing she was dealing with dozens of Brazilian wandering spiders (AKA banana spiders) — a highly aggressive, highly venomous spider certified as "the most toxic" by Guinness World Records — Taylor attempted to return the bananas to the Sainsbury's supermarket where she'd bought them.
She was initially offered £10 ($16)
for her trouble, but after sending a photo of the spider to a pest
control specialist, Taylor, her husband Richard, and their two small
children were ordered to get the hell out of the house and never look
back.

Stolen Motorcycle Recovered, 46 Years Later
The phrase "aged like fine wine" instantly comes to mind
"Authorities say a Nebraska man is getting his motorcycle back - 46 years after it was stolen from his backyard.
The bike was reported stolen in February 1967. It was worth $300 then and wasn't insured.
The California Highway Patrol will return the bike to its original owner, who is now in his 70s and still lives in Omaha, Neb. His name was not released."

More Bad News For The Giant Rubber Ducky: It's Butt Exploded During Re-inflation
Down for the count this time Giant Rubber Ducky? NEVER!
"The 18-metre-tall duck in northern Taoyuan county began to deflate
when an air pump went off during a power outage triggered by the
6.3-magnitude quake on Thursday night.
The earthquake shook buildings in the capital Taipei and across much of Taiwan, sending panicked residents running for shelter, although only a few minor injuries and little damage were reported.
However, organisers were forced to suspend the exhibit of Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman's giant bath-toy replica, after powerful winds caused the duck's rear end to burst while it was being re-inflated on Friday morning, rendering it a flattened yellow disc floating on a pond.
Officials said the damage would be difficult to repair and they were planning to borrow another Hofman-designed duck commissioned by Kaohsiung city government, which attracted four million visitors during a one-month display in the southern port earlier this year.
The duck in Kaohsiung - a slightly larger version of the one that captivated Hong Kong recently - was temporarily deflated and lifted to land as a safety precaution when the powerful Typhoon Usagi pounded the island in September.
Since 2007 the original duck designed by Hofman - which is 16.5 metres tall - has travelled to 13 cities in nine countries, including Brazil and Australia, on its journey around the world.

The Giant Rubber Ducky Deflated Again, This Time The Victim Of An Earthquake
Another death of Ducky
A giant yellow duck art installation fell victim to a 6.3 factor earthquake in Taiwan on Thursday.
The 18m creation, designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, began to deflate after its air pump malfunctioned in a power cut.

Some onlookers were reportedly so upset by the incident they asked for a ten-second silence to honour the much-loved duck.
Officials will be confident of re-inflating the duck having done so already when it was stationed in Hong Kong.
Here are the past giant rubber ducky stories I've posted if you are curious. :)
