A 41-year-old Michigan mother of four is in serious condition after authorities rescued her from her bug-infested home.
The unidentified woman, who may weigh more than 500-pounds, was
reportedly bound to a bed covered in filth and had maggots on her skin,
MyFoxDetroit.com reports.
Emergency crews and a Hazmat team arrived at the scene after her
husband reportedly called 911 Tuesday morning because she was in
distress.

Medical maggots' therapy gone wrong? How does someone in our civilized societies get like that?
I'm thinking the apparently unloving husband is just using her and the brood for disability and welfare checks.
I may be wrong, but hey - he let her get covered in filth and maggots, who knows what those kids were going through.
I can never understand how you could leave someone in such appalling conditions, especially when you're supposed to be one of the people that should care the most.
I feel so sorry for those kids, too.
^ In the main article they minimized what was going on with the kids, whom are staying with relatives now btw. I just point to the obvious again - their 500 lb. bedridden mother was covered in filth and maggots while the father was doing who knows what.
Oh the woman is alive?! I thought she was found dead ... That would have explained the maggots...
And why/how could he even live with her like that? I'm not even talking about on an emotional level, i mean the filth and the smell. He called 911, so couldn't he clean her up a bit?
Shocking and revolting.
I bet the EMTs were thinking the same thing. The maggots must have been feeding off her bed-sores, disgusting!
